The Dragons have been enjoying the first day of their residential trip to Lulworth Cove.
Children in the Dragons Class left Chadlington beneath grey skies and torrential rain at 7 o'clock yesterday morning. They arrived at Lulworth Cove Youth Hostel mid-morning and spent a sunny day exploring the bay, spotting coastal features (such as arches, cliffs and headlands) and hunting for fossils on the beach. In the evening, everyone enjoyed a fish and chip supper and an ice lolly. At bedtime, Ms Hornibrook read a story and the children were treated to hot chocolate and cookies. After a busy day, everyone slept well!
Today Dragons are off to explore the Etches Collection in Kimmeridge, where they will be finding out more about fossils.
