On Friday the 12^thof October my mum took me to Jaffe and Neale's Bookshop where I had a big surprise – Nick Sharratt, an author and illustrator, was there signing autographs. I was surprised to see him, but I was lucky enough to have the privilege to talk to him about the books he has written and illustrated and the books I liked. Nick is very famous and was interviewed on Blue Peter the day before.

Nick was very nice and spoke to me and my mum for a long time. He also signed my book and a postcard and drew pictures of the characters.

If you ever get the chance to meet Nick I would recommend it.
