Since the beginning of term, our older children have been starting to develop an understanding of what palaeontologists do, as well as finding out about the different beliefs people hold about how the Earth was created, from the Judeo-Christian creation story to the scientific explanation of how our planet was formed.

Our youngest children have been creating a dig site, to see what they can discover in the ground beneath their feet, from roots and shoots to tiny creatures. On Friday 10th September, Jack Blackwell and Jack Godden came to school with their digger to show the children just what it could do! The children were very enthusiastic.

Reminders:

• The bus for pupils in the Dragons Class who are taking part in the Lulworth Cove residential trip will leave school promptly at 7:00 am on Tuesday 14th September and return at 3:30 pm on Wednesday 15th September,
• The bus for pupils in the Wizards Class will leave school promptly at 7:00 am on Wednesday 15th September and return at 3:30 pm on Thursday 16th September.
• All pupils who are not taking part in the trip should attend school as usual.
• To find out more about the term ahead, please come to our 'Meet and Greet' evening for parents on Monday 20th September, beginning at 3:30 pm in the school hall for parents of pupils in the Pixies and Elves and 4:30 pm for parents of pupils in the Dragons and Wizards. This is a good opportunity to ask any questions about class routines.
