Back To School

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome back children in Year 1 and Year 6 for the first time since the end of March. Reception pupils will also be returning this week.

Everyone was very excited to be back and to see their friends again:

'It's good being back at school!' - Toby (Year 1)

'It's good because we learn more and I like learning.' - Bella (Year 1)

'It was brilliant to see my friends and have fun!' - Felix (Year 1)

'I'm enjoying being back and seeing my friends. We played a fun game of dodge ball at break!' - Evie (Year 6)

'I'm really glad to have a change of scenery. I enjoy the work and having challenges to do.' - Charlotte (Year 6)

'You have to keep washing your hands more than normal but I enjoyed it.' - Max (Year 6)

Teachers are still providing online learning opportunities for children who cannot attend school yet. They will continue to contact their groups in the normal way. There are still many challenges to overcome if we are to achieve the government's aim of bringing all year groups back to school before the summer holidays. I will be contacting parents of children in Years 2, 3, 4 and 5 next week to listen to your opinions and ideas. Until then, keep learning and stay safe!
